Ergonomics - Designing the User-Product System

Making the product Safe, Efficient, and Comfortable improves task performance, and the aesthetic experience.   By focusing on what we call the ABC's of ergonomics, Anthropometrics, Biomechanics, and Cognition, the product essentially disappears during use, allowing the user to focus on the task at hand.

Anthropometrics - Physical Fit

Many products are literally extensions of the user. Fitting the size and shape of the user is essential for a seamless product/user experience.

Biomechanics - Forces On or Of the Body

Too much force (or sometimes too little) can cause problems for both machines and people.  Button actuation force, pressure points, structural loading, impact resistance, etc. all needs to work together.

Cognition - Understanding the Product

Easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to remember. Error management: minimize the chance of errors, minimize the impact of errors, make errors reversible.
